The Tarifa is the easiest ski in the ChalupSki range to sit on, and the ideal first step out of a plastic ski. It is Oscar Chalupsky's stability before ability philosophy built into a hull so balanced that first timers relax within minutes, yet it is lighter, faster and far nicer to paddle than anything plastic. If surf skis have ever felt tippy or intimidating, this is where you start.

Who it is for: complete beginners, paddlers stepping up from a plastic ski, and anyone who wants maximum comfort and confidence on the ocean before they chase speed.

How it feels: calm, planted, forgiving and reassuring. Easy to remount, easy to paddle, easy to love. The ski that turns a nervous first paddle into a second one.

Specs: length 5.3 m, width 55 cm. One size cockpit with adjustable footplate, fits paddlers from about 1.43 m to 2.10 m. deBrito bailer standard, draining the cockpit far faster than a venturi. Autoclave cured prepreg carbon construction. Five year warranty.
